History of the association

The hunting association "Vepar" Orahovica was founded on July 27, 1947. years. The foundation had 18 members and managed a hunting ground of 4987 hectares. The hunting ground was located in the lowland part of the municipality of Orahovica. Pheasants, runners, roe deer and rabbits were hunted and were in abundance. At that time there was even an obligation for hunters to benefit states must shoot a certain number of rabbits. In addition to rifles, rabbits were also hunted with nets. The area of ​​the hunting ground has increased to 6632 hectares of lowland hunting ground since 1962 by the decision of NOK-Našice and thus increased the number of hunters to 46. In its work, the society worked hard to increase the number of members, so that by 1969 the association had about 100 members. By changing the "Law on Associations" on 15.07.1997. year ceases to operate L.D. "Vepar" and starts working L.U. "Vepar" Orahovica.

Association today

The hunting association is located in Virovitica-Podravina County on the border with Osijek-Baranja and Požega-Slavonia counties. The association manages two hunting grounds, X / 118 Orahovica, hunting area of ​​6072 hectares and hunting ground X / 8 Orahovačka planina, hunting area 5838 hectares. We currently have 85 members, which according to the statute is the maximum number that the association can accept, and at the same time the association is divided into 4 working groups that have approximately the same number of members.
